Professional & Art biography

I am a Bulgarian sculptor working primarily with layered wood and mixed media to create wall and free-standing sculptures that explore rhythm, flow, and spatial tension. Active since 1989, exhibiting across Europe and North America; works placed with private collectors internationally. Internationally represented by Macadam Gallery (Brussels), Cube Gallery (London), and Lanoue Gallery (Boston), Breitbard Williams Fine Arts gallery (Dalas and San Francisco).

Recent Highlights (Selected)

  • Lost Forest (curators’ project) — Sofia Art Fair, 2–5 Oct 2025 – Concept-driven project exploring the shifting boundary between nature and civilization through contrasting media. Along with Daniel Mirchev (wood-based sculptures), the Core 2025 presentation featured established Bulgarian artists: Greddy Assa (Bulgarian noted professor in painting) and Georgi Iankov (The Decan of the National Art Academy in Bulgaria (neon/metal). Continues in March 2026 with expanded portfolio including additional Bulgarian artists. Daniel’s featured work: My grandmother’s staffs (2025), plywood, 240 x 100 cm. Curator: Hristina Bobokova
  • Art Miami (with Cube Gallery, London) — Miami, USA — 2023–2025 (three consecutive editions). Featured artist presentation of layered plywood wall sculptures.
