AIR is part of a larger series exploring fluidity and transformation. It embodies in a minimalistic style my ongoing dialogue with the ephemeral – the invisible forces that shape the visible world. AIR transforms the density of wood into an illusion of breath and movement. The flowing contours shape the air by wrapping it in visible matter. The air we breathe is imperceptible to everyday life, until something stops it for a moment or turns it in the opposite direction. AIR challenges the audience’s perception of material boundaries. Through a tension between lightness and heaviness, between movement and immobility, I aim to invite you to experience wood not as a static substance, but as a living medium, capable of retaining and releasing energy.
